Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the part-time degree programme of the Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (ISLT), University of Port Harcourt. The programme runs on part-time basis leading to the award of a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) degree with specification in any of the following options:
I. Biochemistry & Chemistry Technology
II. Biomedical Technology
III. Geology and Mining Technology
IV. Industrial Chemistry & Petrochemical Technology
V. Microbiology Technology
VI. Physics with Electronics Technology
VII. Physics with Production Technology
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess any of the following qualifications:
i. Three-Year Programme
a. Five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE, NECO, or WASSC and
b. A minimum of Lower Credits in the Higher National Diploma from the University of Port Harcourt
ii. Four-Year Programme
a. Five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE, NECO, or WASSC and
b. A minimum of Lower Credit in the Ordinary National Diploma from the University of Port Harcourt
iii. Five-Year Programme
a. Five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE, NECO, or WASSC and
b. Successful completion of the one-year Certificate Programme of the Institute with a satisfactory score and subject to availability of space, in addition to fulfilling conditions iii [a] above.
SCREENING OF APPLICANTS
All candidates who apply for admission into the various programme options of the institute will be required to undergo a screening exercise at a date to be announced later.

• Enter your personal details
• Submit and print a payment slip
• Proceed with payment slip to any branch of the following banks nationwide and make application fee payment of N7,650 via eTranzact (ask for the Officer-in-Charge of eTranzact payments)

• After making payment, log on again to www.uniport.edu.ng
• Click on "2010/2011 ISLTP" and then “Application Clearance Form”
• Enter O’level details and upload passport photograph
• Submit the Clearance Form to print photocard
• Applicants should please collect the Institute’s Brochure at the ISLT Office, Faculty of Science, University of Port Harcourt on presentation of the receipt of payment and printed photocard.
